Youth culture demands a curatorial stance in relation to the world. Who you are, who you associate with, what you do-- these are essential questions for self-identity. In designing an LGBT youth center, the architecture serves as an interface between very unique users and activities, revealing, concealing, and overlaying the social field to create new opportunities for interaction.

Our understanding of the social and collective must also embrace the antisocial and the individual. In so doing, we can create a more inclusive field for the youth to choose how to be.
